Included with the unit is a P5 premium filter cartridge, SW-2A housing wrench and instructions. From the Manufacturer The Culligan HF-360A whole house inline water filter housing extends life of washing machines, water heaters and other household appliances. The Valve-in-Head (VIH) patented technology allows for easy water filter cartridge replacement. Valve-in-Head involves a simple half-turn of the shut-off valve in the cap to shut off the water supply when changing a water filter. Quick and easy installation. Clear housing construction. Includes a 3/4 inch FIP outlet and inlet, fittings not included. A filter housing wrench is included and the housing comes with a 5 year warranty along with a P5 Poly Spun Sediment Filter.

Yes you most Definitely need a filter, but this is NOT it! Don’t mess with plastic! Regardless of where you live you need a sediment filter. It will save your appliances along with giving you better water to drink and shower in etc. I bought and installed 3 of these. This PLASTIC housing is just that, all plastic. None of the pipe threads or main internal components are metal. The only metal items are some small screws and a plate the on/off handle sits on. Therefore, as a filter housing it does its’ job to hold a good quality filter inside. The problem is that it is all…

Loose threads, okay design (A) ez leaky. Leaked 3 times: first through threads – if doing pvc, you must use pvc-compatible pipe dope, NOT teflon tape (leaked). Second through pressure relief (red button), pvc shred from cutting got wedged between washer and housing. Had to unscrew the stainless screw to fix that. Third: 10 hours after installing, a drip on the threads again. I really think the threads are poorly cut because I tightened it flush with just my hand, no tools or pipe connected.(B) After that low…

Leaks I read the reviews about how this product leaks a lot. I know a thing or 2 about plumbing and figured that I could get it to stop leaking. I did … after several hours of work. That was a couple of months ago. Today, I had to change the filter. I simultaneously changed the filter in my Watts WH-LD Premier Whole House Filter System.
