OEM filter replacement – works just as the one included with the Fridge Having Well Water it’s important to have a good filter. This fits the bill. Compared to the lifetime of the older MWF on my previous fridge this one does not last as long and costs even more…It seems like GE is going a bit of the way of laser printer manufacturers and they make more money off the filters vs. the initial Fridge purchase…

Quality Same price as my hardware store and it’s delivered to my door in less time than it would have taken me to task and complete the errand.It’s manufactured by GE, not a knock off so the quality is spot on.

Easy to install, but my ice tastes gross. I got a new fridge that required this filter. I changed out the filter once the fridge indicated I needed a new one. By this time, my water was starting to taste funky anyway. The filter was easy to install and my water tasted better once I did. However, I’ve noticed my ice has a gross taste to it now. I can no longer drink ice water from my fridge, and I could before. This DEEPLY saddens me because I have always wanted an automatic ice maker. I love ice water. I thought this filter would make…
