Sediment filters are made of fine melted polypropylene, which is then blown and spun in a cylinder-like form. The main function of a sediment filter is to remove large and fine particles from a drinking water, such as sand, dirt, silt, and rust particles. Removal of such particles allows for a better performance of all the following filters, such as Carbon Block or GAC filters.

Tight fit. I use these to filter my whole house. Our rust is so heavy that it requires me to change the filter weekly. I had ordered another brand twice and neither order came through. These came through promptly.Update… The first time I thought it was just me, but when I change the filter (weekly) it is a challenge. The filter is just a wee bit longer than the other filters. It is difficult to get it to fit without leaking all over the place.
great filter I have used these filters for about a year. I have a high iron level in my water it is not hazardous to drink but does rust the water heater and leaves rust stains where the water sits and dries like the shower. This filter catches the iron it last about 2 – 3 months. Lately I have been changing it every month because the water company is replacing the main pipe in town so the iron is getting flush down the system.
Great water filter for the price. I live in an Island. When it rains a lot or during Hurricane season the potable water is always Milky looking or have lots sediments in it. Since i start using this filters i don`t have to clean my water tanks so frequently. Water have a great taste and is sparkling clean. I have 3 800 gallons water tanks because sometime water go out for months. This filters clogged depending of the water quality we receive. They last here from 3 months to 2 weeks depending on water quality conditions. Thanks.
